Tickets are selling fast for Barack Obama’s star-studded June 24 Hollywood fundraiser at the Los Angeles Music Center.
Rufus Gifford, Obama’s California finance consultant, confirmed in an email to PolitickerCA.com that the campaign has sold several hundred tickets to its dinner event. He said that some tickets to the reception portion of the evening remain. Dinner tickets are going for $28,500 per couple and reception tickets are available for $2,300 per person.
Gifford declined to name any of the event’s attendees.
The event comes less than a week after Obama’s announcement that he would be opting out of the public funding system.
