McClintock scores National Rifle Association endorsement

Congressional candidate Tom McClintockCongressional candidate Tom McClintockRepublican U.S. House candidate Tom McClintock has won his second endorsement from the pro-gun community in as many days.

“As a member of the California State Legislature for almost two decades, you have been a champion for our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage,” wrote NRA chairman Chris W. Cox in a letter explaining his endorsement.

On Wednesday, McClintock won the endorsement of the Gun Owners of America. Both organizations have given “A+” lifetime grades to McClintock, a veteran state legislator.

McClintock is characterizing himself as a strong conservative in his primary run against former U.S. Rep. Doug Ose. They are competing for the seat of retiring Republican U.S. Rep. Doug Ose.
