McClintock also to make July 4th appearances

State Sen. Tom McClintockState Sen. Tom McClintockCalifornia State Sen. Tom McClintock will make two public appearances over the Independence Day weekend, including one that could bring him face to face with Charlie Brown, his opponent in the 4th Congressional District race.

McClintock (R-Thousand Oaks) will participate in a Fourth of July parade Friday morning in Lincoln, where Brown, a Democrat from Roseville, is also scheduled to appear.

On Sunday, McClintock will attend a Fourth of July parade in Graeagle, in Plumas County.

Brown's campaign sent out a press release Thursday afternoon criticizing McClintock for a lack of public appearances over the weekend in the 4th Congressional District of northeastern California.

But McClintock's weekend events, while not listed on his campaign Web site, appear to have been scheduled prior to the press release.

McClintock and Brown are both vying to replace U.S. Rep. John Doolittle (R-Roseville).

Taking Tom McClintock off the loser list.

Poor Tom has been the loser on this site for four months.

Oh well I suppose it's prophetic.

Communist no, honest yes.

Anyone who would rip off their employers for $306,000 can't be trusted.

I want honest Congressmen, you don't have to be a commie to want honesty do you Mr. or Ms. No Name? Or do you think honesty is a communist trait?

Just wondering.

Who cares about candidates in 4th of July parades? Let us know where we can see these two debate each other.

mike in Mid City - only a communist will satisfy your desire for a candidate.

Come on up to Placer and have a look around - you will find that Brown's attempts are an excercise in futility.

McClintock is not Doolittle - people know that... Brown wishes they didn't

McClintock will not be home on the 4th.

Not in the Thousand Oaks, Ca. home where he was paid by the state $306,000.00 pre-diem for not traveling to and from.

Not in his 4,090 s.f., five bedroom, home in Elk Grove, Ca. he and his family have lived in since 2004. This is the home he lived in while collecting $36,000 in tax free per-diem last year alone.

While voting against veterans benefits for widows.

No, living out of a tent, this carpet bagger will no doubt be presenting his corrupt money grubbing ways as high ethical standards to the public at large having been approved by the Republican machine.

Who knows? Compared to Doolittle he could be right.
