State Assembly candidate Abram Wilson added the controller in Contra Costa County Monday to his list of endorsees for his race against Democrat Joan Buchanan.
Wilson, the mayor of San Ramon, announced that Auditor/Controller Stephen Ybarra had endorsed him, joining county Treasurer Bill Pollacek and Assessor Gus Kramer in doing so.
Ybarra gave Wilson strong marks for his financial acumen in a press release announcing the endorsement.
"Abram Wilson has a proven track record of setting government priorities and ensuring our tax dollars are spent wisely," Ybarra said in the press release.
Wilson and Buchanan are competing in the 15th Assembly District to replace Guy Houston (R-Dublin), who is termed out.
Close registration numbers between Democrats and Republicans have made it a priority for both parties to take in the fall.
