State Assembly candidate Joan Buchanan has unveiled an overhauled website as she moves into what's expected to be a hotly contested race in the 15th Assembly District.
The new site features a different layout and an easier way to join the campaign as a volunteer or donor, according to an e-mail Buchanan's campaign sent to supporters.
Buchanan, a Democrat from Alamo and a San Ramon Unified School District board member, is competing with San Ramon Mayor Abram Wilson, a Republican, to represent the 15th.
Current Assemblyman Guy Houston (R-Dublin) is termed out and planning a run for the state Board of Equalization in 2010.
Because Democrats have a registration lead of less than 2 percent in the district, many expect the race to be one of the most dynamic in Northern California this fall.
