The California Republican Party used U.S. Sen. Joe Biden's words against his runningmate in a reaction to Biden's selection as the Democratic vice presidential nominee.
The release noted that during the Democratic primary, Biden (D-Del.) had criticized presumptive Democratic nominee and U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) for a lack of experience, poor foreign policy judgment and a shortfall on credentials for being president.
"Joe Biden has declared that Obama -- a former part-time state legislator and U.S. Senator for just three years -- not ready to be President," wrote party chairman Ron Nehring in the release.
"We couldn't agree more," he said.
The party also announced the release of a new television commercial by U.S. Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, called "Biden."
The video shows Biden on TV news programs criticizing Obama, and in an appearance on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," saying he considered McCain (R-Ariz.) a friend and could run with him for president.
The party said the ad would air in key states.
