Regardless of how his race turns out this year, one Southern California Assembly candidate will seek the same seat in 2010.
Democrat Michael G. Glover, who is trying to unseat Assemblyman Chuck DeVore (R-Irvine) in the 70th Assembly District, opened a campaign account recently to try for the 70th in two years.
DeVore, first elected in 2004, will be termed out that year. Glover is an attorney from Laguna Hills who served in the Kansas state legislature in the 1970s before moving to Colorado and then California.
The 70th Assembly District covers the coastal areas of Orange County and has 45.9 percent Republican registration to 29.2 percent for Democrats, making it an uphill battle for a Democratic candidate like Glover.
According to the California Secretary of State's website, the only other declared candidate in that district for 2010 is Republican Steven Choi, an Irvine City Councilman.

Another 70th candidate
We have heard rumblings that Shawn Black from Irvine (Founder-Project Prayer Flag)might throw his hat in the ring. With his background as a Military Vet; who served in Law Enforcement, it looks like a great fit to replace Chuck Devore.
Why would anyone vote for Glover and to legalize Pot? Democrats at work again!!
