Ose focuses on McClintock's character in new district-wide letter

With the primary fast approaching, Doug Ose’s campaign is pushing the idea that his Republican opponent Tom McClintock has character flaws making him unfit to serve in office.

The allegations were made in a letter signed by Republicans Madge Schaffer, a former Thousand Oaks mayor, Greg Stratton, a former Simi Valley mayor, and Judy Mikels, a former Simi Valley councilmember, and distributed by the Ose campaign. (Read the letter here.)

It seeks to paint McClintock, a former Assemblyman who has represented the Thousand Oaks area in the state Senate for the last eight years, as an ineffective public official who is arrogant, self-centered, and frustrating to work with.
