The battle of the Carpetbaggers?

Just for the record: there’s an argument to be made that all three Republican candidates for John Doolitte’s open House seat in District 4 are carpetbaggers – even though the contenders argue otherwise.  Former Rep. Doug Ose represented the third district from 1998 until his retirement in 1994.  State Sen. Tom McClintock currently represents a Southern California district in the Legislature.  And Suzanne Jones lives in Citrus Heights, which is no longer part of the fourth.

Jones had an interesting spin, according to the Sacramento Bee, noting that redistricting moved Citrus Heights out of Doolitte’s district.  “The district moved away from me – not me away from the district."
