Is Yaroslavsky getting ready to run for Mayor?

L.A. County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky has been riding the wave of anti-growth sentiment that has become SOP for liberal politicians in Southern CA. Last week, Zev (Hebrew for Wolf) took LA Times columnist on a joy-ride throughout Los Angeles pointing out all of the bad planning decisions leading to more traffic on the area’s already choking roads and freeways.

Zev stayed away from most of his old City Council district where he presided over one of the greatest waves of over-development in the region. From Wilshire Boulevard luxury condos to Westside malls and strip centers were all approved under his reign. Many people are asking what has brought about his new-found anti-growth religion.  Some people say he is gearing up for a potential run for Mayor (he backed out of the race at least 3 times in the past – when he could have won).  Stay tuned.
